Materials:

4.5mm knitting needles

4 ply acrylic or yarn of yours choice

Tapestry needle

Scissors

Abbreviation

K : knit

P: Purl

Yo : yarn over

K2tog : knit 2 stitches together

Let’s begin!!!

Cast on 4 stitches

Increase

Row 1. Slip 1 Purlwise , yo, k2, yo, p1 last stitch.

Row 2. Slip 1 purlwise, knit the yarn over stitch through the back loop then knit as normal until the last stitch, purl last stitch.

Repeat row 1 and 2 until you have 20 stitches on the needle.

Continue knitting ( garter stitch ) without increasing for 7 row. DON’T FORGET to slip1 stitch purlwise at the first stitch and purl last stitch.

Next we are going to work on the part as shown on the picture

***Split 20 stitches into 2 needles. 10 stitches on each needle.

Take cable needle holding on your right hand with your main knitting needle. Slip 1 stitch purlwise into your main knitting needle.

Next Slip 1 stitch into your cable needle.

Continue alternate 1 stitch on your main needle and 1 stitch on the cable needle until you have 10 stitches on the main needle and 10 stitches on the cable needle.

Next work on the main needle.

Knit 10 rows ( garter stitch ) DON’T FORGET to slip1 stitch purlwise at the beginning and purl at the last stitch every row.

Leaves 10 stitches on the stitch holder. Cut the yarn from the main needle leave a little bit of yarn to hide it later on.

Slip 10 last stitch on the main needle.

Join the yarn and only knit 1st stitch of this row instead for slip1 then purl last stitch. Continue working as the same way you did the first needle.

At this point you should have 10 stitches on 2 needles.

Next step we going to combine 2 needles into 1.

Take the second main needle. Slip 1 stitch from main knitting needle and slip1 from cable needle. Keep Alternate until end. You should have 20 stitches on 1 needle. ***

Continue working on garter stitch until reaching the desired length. ( 36 cm )

Next step after you reach you desired length.

Repeat ** to **

Then continue with pattern working garter stitch 7 rows.

Next step..Decrease

Row 1. Slip 1 purlwise, K2tog, knit to the last 3 stitches. K2tog, purl last stitch.

Row 2. Slip 1 purlwise. Knit to the last stitch. Purl last stitch.

Repeat row 1 and 2 until you have 4 stitches left on the needle. K2tog, put the right stitch needle back to the left needle and K2tog, ( no turn ) put the right stitch needle back to left needle. You should have last 2 stitches left then K2tog and sew the end.
