DIY KNIT HAIR SCRUNCHIE

Hi everyone, it has been awhile since my last post. Sometimes I forget that I have a website lol. I know I should pay more attention and be more active but it is what it is hey! 🤣

I haven’t been active about crafts such as sewing, knitting and crocheting in the past couple of months. I banded myself from crafts stores. 🥳🥳🥳👍

This week I couldn’t resist anymore when Lincraft had 40% off store wide. 😳 I straight to the yarn shopping and I went crazy lol. I had a lot of good time in Lincraft and a big smile 😀 when I walked out the door. I might do yarn haul after… I don’t know will see.

Today is a another good day because I have a simple yet cute hair scrunchie pattern that I’ve seen them everywhere on the internet and I think they’re so simple and so cute! I don’t know why I didn’t already knitted one for myself. I’ve been enjoy knitting them and I hope you do too. So I’m going to share with you incase some of you haven’t knitted one before like me. It’s very easy to knit and beginner friendly in my opinion.

I crocheted hair scrunchies before and I think I prefer a knit more than a crochet version. which version do you prefer? please share 😀

Materials :

Let’s get started!

Starting with long tail Cast on, Thump method Co.84 sts. you totally could do less or more sts.

Row;1 K all across. turn.

Row;2 Repeat row 1 until the work piece matured 2” or more depends on what type of yarn you are using. we are going to fold the work piece in half. my piece matured 1.5”. This’ll be how thick of a hair scrunchie.

Cut the yarn and leave a long tail to sew the long edges of work piece together.

Insert a hairband in-between the fold and sew the long edges of the work piece to the end. Sew the ends to close the hole. Adjudge the hairband till you liking and walaaaa! you just knitted yourself very cute and cool hair scrunchies…. let’s make some more and enjoy knitting.
